Citrix Activities

Applications Delivery using Citrix (XenApp/XenDesktop) , Remote Applications access (Secure Gateway)

Daily

  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Citrix servers , Printers management
  • Resolving logon or connection problems, Investigating Profile related issues.
  • Backup of Data store (coordination with DBA Team)
  • Applications publishing in Citrix and maintain their access
  • Investigating Citrix performance issues, Working incidents on Citrix related issues.
  • Monitor server and their statistics

Weekly

  • Configuring and managing Citrix farms, Web Interface administration based on requirement.
  • Work with Application Development teams to qualify test package and upgrade applications being deployed via Citrix (based on requirement).
  • Scheduled Citrix Servers reboot Problem management.
  • Attending CCB meeting call for the Citrix CRs , Internal support review meeting

Monthly

  • Configuring and managing Citrix farms
  • Perform software installations and upgrades to Citrix systems and layered software applications and maintains them.
  • License Management (Citrix and Microsoft TS License) need based.
  • Generating reports through Resource manager need based.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance (i.e. application and server hot fixes)
  • Capacity planning for Citrix servers, Microsoft patches on Citrix environment.
  • Inventory management for the Citrix servers , Reporting and documentation

Yearly

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining Citrix servers.
  • Creating custom load evaluators for applications and servers
  • Migration of applications from legacy Citrix farms
  • Implementing policies within CITRIX environment, Latest Citrix ICA client distribution.
  • Deploying & Upgrade Citrix Web Interface and Citrix Secure Gateway access
  • Verifying SSL certificate, Password changes.
  • Maintain disaster recovery plans, regular review to ensure D/R strategy aligns with business requirements.
  • Citrix Vendor Support contract renewal and SA subscription renewal
